Simple Scrappy Treasures

Block of the Month

This scrap quilt measures 88” x 104”.  It consists of 4”, 6”, 8” and 12” blocks.  You will be instructed how many blocks to make of each.  This pattern is “template free”.  Since this is a scrap quilt in the true sense of the word, no fabric requirements are given other than the Navy Blue solid used to construct the Half-Square Triangle units on the inside border which will require approximately 1 yard (including the binding).  We used over 34 different light and dark scraps for our quilt.  Enjoy!!

First Block

The first block is the Nine Patch block.  You will need to make 8 blocks.  All will measure 6 ½” (6” finished).  Make 4 with Block A positions, and 4 of Block B
