#78. Library Log Cabin Star, May, 2006 - 92" x 92". You may remember this design on the previous gallery except it was done in pinks/reds for Eden Mennonite here in Inola. I call this one "Starred & Feathered" since Donna Titsworth (the long-arm quilter extraordinaire) stitched in free-hand feather motifs all over the quilt. This was used as a raffle quilt for our local library (where I happen to work) fund raiser. The quilt was won by a dear friend, Ellen Miller.
#79. Enlarged Baby Nickels - January, 2006 - Lap Size - A client needed a larger version for an upcoming child, so I added one row across and one row down to the existing pattern. Fun and quick.
#80. Sharon's Baby Quilt - January 2006 - 44" x 44". This was another quilt I made for our first granddaughter. She already received an heirloom style ("Baby Hearts" - see gallery 13), so I thought she might need another one to just throw around on the floor or spit up on. So this is her "everyday" quilt. She was born June 29, 2006.
#81. Mary's Log Cabin - April, 2006. I love making scrappy quilts! My friend, Mary Covey, knows that, too. This was one she asked me to do and I was more than obliged!
#82. Mary's Basket Case. April, 2006. Mary purchased some antique blocks and asked me to set them together for her. This was to be for her new granddaughter, Ella. I used Glenna Hailey's fabric line, pieced together a whole lot of squares of it, then treated that like a large piece of fabric to cut the setting triangles from. Added triple sashing and 9-patch cornerstones. I think it suited those blocks perfectly.
