GREETINGS!!!!.....

This was fun! Eden has this event every 2 years. They have wagon rides, traditional foods, quilt & craft barn, quilt & craft auction, breakfast, lunch, quilting demonstrations, tractor pulls, tractor exhibits, petting zoo, basketball, music, homemade ice cream, kettle popcorn, baked goods, and more that I missed.
Here's some pictures I managed to take in-between visiting with old friends:

The popular wagon ride.

The ones doing all the work!

I'd say they had a full load
Rodney Jantz & Greg Pankratz start up the saw, belted to the John Deere. When they started this thing up, I got as far away as I could. :-)

The gals & guys on the decorating committee, really did a job.

Harvey & Verna Jantz' kettle popcorn.
The craft barn was full of interesting items.
The auction was going on outside under the tent. When I arrived (late as usual), they were auctioning off a nice, big rooster in a cage! They sold a lot of interesting items between the quilts they sold.

This was one they were working on inside.

There were a lot of these in the parking lot.

Took this one as I was leaving. Not your typical parking lot sight.
There were tractors (and cars) as far as your eye could see.
For information on the sale, which a percentage goes to Mennonite Disaster Relief, contact Eden Mennonite Church, Inola, Oklahoma, 74036. The sale is held in the fall, every other year.
My husband received this email from a friend:
"Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in

Very interesting. Drives my Spellchecker crazy!
Site seeing, anyone?
http://www.wraptheminlove.org/ Wonderful organization, and a lot of the gals here are using scrappy patterns from our free bom page.
http://www.gvetchedintime.com/ Amazing what this young guy can do with a simple toy.
http://www.mariewebster.net/index.html Interesting read about the Marie Webster story.
http://ejad.best.vwh.net/java/patterns/patterns_j.shtml This is fun! All of you who like English Paper Piecing, or regular piecing of shapes, this interactive design board is a blast!
http://www.kimwhitehandbags.com/about.html Remember the furniture made from vintage cars? Well, this site uses both meanings of the word "clutch".
http://www.josleys.com/geometryindex.htm More amazing fractals.
http://www.snopes.com/ The truth IS out there. A good place to find out if rumors are rumors.
What's New?
Well, let's see. Oh, Yes! The baby quilt pattern is online now! It's a fun one. Pieced toy blocks. And it's on the Free Block of the Month page. Here's a pic:

Also, the last project on the Short 'n Scrappy series is City Streets. This series will be unavailable after October 31, except as a purchased pattern on the pattern page.
Thought I would show you another animal thing. The one on the left is our old cat that died years ago, named Patches. The one on the right is the newest member of the family, Scrappy. I can't help but call Scrappy by the wrong name, a lot.
I hope I haven't overloaded you with pictures to download, but I couldn't bring myself to leave any of them out!
May you always have a quilt in the hoop, I try to.
Cya,
Claudia
