GREETINGS!!!!.....
We're offering some kits now on our Misc 4 Sale page! As of today, August 31, we have the pre-cut kits for two of the Short N Scrappy quilt tops--"City Streets" & "Twinklers". These are great to "throw" together when you don't have time to cut them out, like for Christmas presents or charity drives. They contain all 100% cotton "scrappy" fabrics (not pre-washed), reasonably priced and shipped free. |

"Twinklers" Pre-Cut Kit
In addition to the cut-out kits, we are offering fabric kits for 3 of our most popular patterns: "Lone Star Basics", "Penguins Play", and "Pretty-Boy Peacocks"--also on the Misc 4 Sale page.

"Lone Star Basics" Fabric Kit
This one contains all the 100% cotton, bright batiks needed to complete the 72" x 72" quilt top as shown on last month's newsletter, complete with a stencil pattern for the corner and side appliques. These kits are not pre-washed, and do not include lining or batting. On the Misc 4 Sale page. Includes pattern.

"Penguins Play" Fabric Kit
This one includes the deep black Kona Black for the borders, and all necessary fabrics to complete the whimsical wall hanging top. Not pre-washed, no lining or batting. Batteries not included. On the Misc 4 Sale page. Includes pattern.

"Pretty-Boy Peacocks" Fabric Kit
This one contains exquisite fabrics from the Key West line of batiks (a colorful batik with metallic gold designs within). You can use both sides of these batiks from Key West for a striking effect. The "front side" of the fabric has the metallic design, and the reverse side is bold and beautiful. Again, rich Kona Black for the background and borders is included. On the Misc 4 Sale page. Includes pattern.
What's New?
Well, let's see. This month we have the "Twinklers" as the free project on the BOM page. This is a fun small project and I hope you enjoy it. Bird Hunting finishes up this month, so be sure to print it out while it's still here. Granny added a new tip of the month sometime in the last couple of weeks, so don't miss that.
In the works: I'm HOPING to have a new free project to start next month called "Toy Box". This is a baby-sized quilt that has pieced toys surrounding a toy box in the middle. You can add the child's name by writing it on the outside of the toy box for an extra touch. I still haven't made final decisions as to the final color scheme. Here's what I'm leaning towards right now.:

What Kind of Storm are You?
http://home.wanadoo.nl/annekebroenink/maukie2.swf Don't have a kitty of your own? Allergic to kitties? Then this is for you. You can play with her all you want. Just move your mouse around, and she will play with you, purr, and meow.
Speaking of kitties, this one hitchhiked a ride underneath #3 son's car to our house recently. (I think he did it on purpose, but he denies it). She is a teeny-tiny little thing (a tortoiseshell) and looks just like a beloved pet we had for years named Patches. Patches was with us so long, (at least 12 years), and this one could be her clone, so we had to keep her. We named her "Scrappy". Of course, a quilt-related name, just like her predecessor. Grandson, Blake, calls her "Scrappy-Dooo". She gets along well with Frosty, being her "older brother" sort of. Well that's what he acts like. Very protective and loves to be entertained by her. And I'm glad she keeps him entertained, believe me. Buster, the dog, tolerates her.
Amazing to think we have been online now for 2 full years. Thanks to all of you for making this possible and enjoyable, too.
May you always have a quilt in the hoop, I try to.
Cya,
Claudia
